Meet the Faculty

Ansy Francois

Ansy Francois is a woodwind specialist based in the New York area. He has studied saxophone, oboe, clarinet, and flute. His specialized study include a bachelor’s degree with focus in jazz saxophone, and a master’s degree in multiple woodwinds. He has performed locally and with national tours including “Love Never Dies,” opera vocalist Terry Barber, and the Holographic Roy Orbison Orchestra. Venues include international concert series, jazz clubs, and stadiums across the country. He is currently active in the New York area with various groups ranging from symphony orchestra, jazz ensembles, and several Broadway productions. Through his experiences in various settings, he has performed with great artists such as Phil Woods, Catherine Russell, Alan Gilbert, etc, in venues including Lincoln Center, the Kimmel Center, Carnegie Hall, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, Small’s Jazz Club, and more.

Ansy is currently on faculty at the Stevens Institute of Technology Co-op school and the Tonal Art Music Center.

Ansy Francois (Saxophone/Woodwinds) is a multi-instrumentalist that specializes in saxophones, oboes, clarinets, and flutes. He has performed in genres spanning from classical to jazz to rock. An active performer and educator in the tri-state area, Ansy pursues the goal of “playing good music with good people.
